The annual ITE Hong Kong (ITE) was first launched some 40 years ago, which thus among Asia’s earliest travel fair. At first ITE only covered leisure travel, and started incorporating ITE MICE in 2006. TKS the current organizer acquired ITE in mid-2004, and held its first ITE (19th edition) in 2005. Before TKS, ITE already changed hand twice. In fact, one of its previous organizer was a company formed by several major travel agents in Hong Kong. In some years in the Nineties, ITE used 4 halls as then the China (mainland) pavilion occupied over half of all space. Situation changed, then ITE shrink to 2 halls in later half of the Nineties.
